Clinical electrocardiographic observtionon, six caes of aconitine intoxication. were made and following results were obtained.
1. Five ¢¥cases took boiled extract of ; conitineroots for the alleviation of arthralgic and euralgie pains and the other took crude root with suicidal_ intent.
2. The main symptoms were ge eral aching,. tingling in the throat and vomiting with irritablestates.
3. Cardiac arrhythmias were observ - d in all patents. There were multifocal prematu e ve o tricularcontractions in 5 cases, ventricular ta, hyca dia and. supraventricular tachycardia with a erra lion in 2-1 cases respectively and the others wer- no . al rhythm, AN dissociation, ventricular bieminm, accelerated idioventricular rhythm, vent icula ~ escape, beats and atrial fibrillation. The arr? yth ias wereeffectively treated with the infusion fliocaine.
4. These observations suggest that he s mptoms. of general aching and vomiting with ardi.c arrhy thmias are highly suggestive of aco , itine intoxication.
